  • Building 1 focused primarily on the East Wing of the 1st floor. Work included creating new areas for the VA St. Louis Police Office and Pain Clinic.
  • Building 51 work occurred in the North and West Wings, consisting of replacing windows and doors as necessary to meet glazing requirements as well as correcting mechanical and electrical systems to meet new code requirements.
  • Building 52 affected the Spinal Cord Injury area and entailed creating private access for patient restrooms, renovating the lobby, and upgrading the existing HVAC system.

All three buildings were occupied by patients and staff during construction, with temporary access restrictions to the affected work areas.

Our team worked closely with the Department of Veterans Affairs, architect, and subcontractors to implement a construction phasing and infectious control plan that limits disturbances to operations and ensures the safety of patients and staff.
