The selected ÃÛÌÒÉç Construction and its small business partner, for the construction of a new fire station for the Engine and Ladder Companies at Fort Leonard Wood, MO. This decision was made to more effectively meet mandated response times to calls.

This new facility features apparatus bays with overhead sectional doors large enough to store the Chief’s vehicle, emergency response units, and perform minor maintenance on multiple vehicles and emergency response units. Storage areas were provided for quick access to the required day-to-day fire-fighting equipment including rooms for equipment disinfecting, hazardous materials, and safety equipment storage.

Ten residential areas, a laundry room, kitchen, day/recreational rooms, and training areas were provided within the fire station for the convenience of the firefighters on staff. Also constructed were various work areas including a dispatch/communications room, department training room, conference room, computer lab, and multiple offices for personnel to store files and administrative equipment.
